THE ALLIANCE 4 SUSTAINABLE FOOD ADVOCATES is a networking group created by Emily Brooks to unite those who support local agriculture, sustainable farming, local food production, and sustainable food systems.  The development of local, living economies rests on our nation-wide collaboration as we change the social norm towards agricultural sustainability, farmer & producer support, and small business development.

Millix Family Farm is a featured farmer in Connecticut Farmer & Feast, a revolutionary new cookbook by Emily Brooks.

The Millix’s hope in life is to instill the importance of family, tradition, responsibility and loyalty in their children. They have always had a longing to own and operate a farm for themselves. Tyler and Patricia decided to try their hand at having a "small" farm which includes 45 laying hens, 6 Fancy Bantam chickens and our dog - Ruby. They have continued to increase the size of their garden every time their family increased!

It seems to be in Patricia’s nature to want to return to the things that she knows and loves. If she had more land she would surely fill it with all the animals and gardens that she could. If you live in the Willington area and would like some fresh eggs or a fresh baked pie, please give the Millix Family Farm a call or, just stop by.
