THE ALLIANCE 4 SUSTAINABLE FOOD ADVOCATES is a networking group created by Emily Brooks to unite those who support local agriculture, sustainable farming, local food production, and sustainable food systems.  The development of local, living economies rests on our nation-wide collaboration as we change the social norm towards agricultural sustainability, farmer & producer support, and small business development.

Waldingfield Farm is a featured farmer in Connecticut Farmer & Feast, a revolutionary new cookbook by Emily Brooks.

Organic means that Waldingfield Farm grows their vegetables without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, hormones, or any other synthetic substance. The only fertilizers that they use are natural: composted cow manure, sea kelp, and "green manures" such as clover, vetch, and rye grass. Crop rotations keep these methods effective and our soils free of disease.

Waldingfield Farm works to enrich soil, prevent erosion and protect groundwater. Their food comes from healthy soil that remains bountiful long after the crops have been harvested -- which means that you get fresh, healthy produce loaded with vitamins and minerals, from land that can continue producing.  Dan, Patrick, and Quincy will faithfully follow the rules and regulations of their governing body, Baystate Organic Certifiers, and will engage in commerce with honesty and integrity.

Thanks Emily
I loved watching the short film. Two blokes who seem the most unlikely of twins ... speaking in such a relaxed and inspiring way. Well done!
