Wayne’s Organic Garden is a featured farmer in Connecticut Farmer & Feast, a revolutionary new cookbook by Emily Brooks.

Wayne’s Organic Garden is Eastern Connecticut's first certified organic farm.

Certified organic since 1989, they  grow and sell a large variety of vegetables and  specialize in fingerling potatoes, garlic, onions, heirloom tomatoes, and many other delicious items.  It's all grown right here on their tiny farm in Oneco, CT, near the Rhode Island border.  They also sell vegetable plants in May and offer a subscription plan or CSA running from the end of June through the end of September.

They offer our products at three farmers markets:  Wednesdays in Old Saybrook beginning the end of June, Thursdays in Putnam and Saturdays in Danielson, beginning in early June, and Sundays at the Coventry Regional Farmers' Market beginning in early June.  We also sell a lot of vegetables through the Willimantic Food Coop.

They are known for delicious and often unusual produce, cippolini onions and Sungold cherry tomatoes.  "Organic...we're in it for life!"

We're also, and perhaps most importantly, at the Coventry Market on Sundays. I'm a not-to-bad farmer, but a complete newbie at computers and can't find time to update or upgrade the website. Thanks to Emily for helping out with this material and her book.
