THE ALLIANCE 4 SUSTAINABLE FOOD ADVOCATES is a networking group created by Emily Brooks to unite those who support local agriculture, sustainable farming, local food production, and sustainable food systems.  The development of local, living economies rests on our nation-wide collaboration as we change the social norm towards agricultural sustainability, farmer & producer support, and small business development.

Fort Hill Farms is a featured farmer in Connecticut Farmer & Feast, a revolutionary new cookbook by Emily Brooks.

Fort Hill Farms in Thompson, Connecticut is a destination for people wanting to experience the pleasures of agricultural life and the outdoors.

Hosts and farmers, Peter and Kristin Orr, along with three generations of their family, provide agricultural experiences such as: shopping for unusual perennial plants at Quintessential Gardens: walking and picking and inhaling lavender in the Lavender Labyrinth, getting lost in The Corn Maze Adventure; purchasing milk produced by the farm's award winning dairy herd under The Farmer's Cow label; and picking your own organic blueberries in The Picking Patch.

During their regular season from Spring until early November they also have The Creamery which serves The Farmer's Cow ice cream and in the fall one of the area's largest corn mazes!
